Acting
If you are considering a career on the stage or in film, or simply want to explore the world of acting first hand, then the theatre school is definitely the place for you! At Splitz theatre school you will have plenty of fun while honing your talents and learning new skills.
Theatre School encompasses modern dance, acting and singing - all in a three hour Saturday lesson. These highly satisfying sessions provide plenty of time to get warmed up, try new things and know that you have accomplished something extremely worthwhile by the time you leave.
Here are just a few examples of the the types of things you could be doing in any one of our classes:
- Working on a piece of Musical Theatre
- Learning techniques, such as mime or voice projection
- Having fun with some improvisation
- Choreographing your own dance
- Learning about stage makeup
- Working on a song
- or participating in a major production
You will be encouraged to be creative and use your own ideas, to work as a team and gain confidence to work as an individual. There will be a range of performance opportunities throughout the year and an option to work towards exams.

Singing
If singing is your forte, then Splitz Theatre Artz will help you to bring your voice out. Voicework is integral to what we do. We recognise that everyone has different talents, and not everyone is or wants to be a singer. However, where you are looking to command roles that are likely to require your voice, the ability to breathe, project and work your voice to bring out its best it essential.
For those who really want to develop their singing voice, our Saturday Theatre school is an ideal environment. Every year we undertake shows and performances that require talent, enthusiasm and hopefully a bit of both!
Our singing coach has a strong background in performance - both with contemporary rock and folk bands, so she knows a thing or two about the singing business! If anyone can get your vocal cords tuned up Tiffany can, and will be happy to give you a free try out at one of our Saturday Theatre schools.

Modern Dance
Theatre School also incorporates modern dance (Jazz) as part of the Saturday morning class.
